TAG Heuer Connected Caliber E5 × New Balance Specifications

It’s no secret that TAG Heuer has been pushing the smartwatch concept since introducing the Connected Line in 2015. The new Caliber E5, now in its fifth generation runs on TAG Heuer OS interface which is claimed to be more responsive, cleaner and smoother than the previous version. This latest watch is wearing black DLCs mark 2 titanium case with sand blast that offers visuals brave while being comfortable to wear on the wrist.

Caseits diameter is 40 mm and its thickness is 14.8 mm. This watch is water resistant up to 50 meters dome-shaped sapphire crystal to protect the OLED displays 1.2″ with a resolution of 390×390 pixels (326dpi). This model is equipped two-material rubber strap which displays the logo embroidered New Balance in green, that is textile inlay inspired by the New Balance FuelCell SuperComp Elite v5 shoe and a comfortable cushioning system for improved fit during activity.

This watch adds advanced fitness features, double ribbon GPS with better accuracy even in harsh environments, heart rate monitoring, longer battery life and recovery metrics. Once synced, the watch provides a phone-free running experience, guiding athletes step by step with speed feedback, interval countdownand distance tracking. After each session, data is automatically synchronized allowing runners to monitor trendprogress, and recovery over time. Complementing this technology are three special watch faces, namely “Casual”, “Balance”, and “Reskin” with clean layoutdata-rich design, and the collaboration’s signature purple-gray color scheme. Next, users can test all these features with the accompanying FuelCell SuperComp Elite v5 shoes.

Inside the Caliber E5, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 5100+ processor with a capacity of 300mAH is embedded. This model has battery life for 1.5 days with performance full and 2 days in mode low power. For chargingit takes about 90 minutes to be 100%.

Antoine Pin, CEO of TAG Heuer, described this collaboration as an opportunity to break boundaries with the aim of creating a watch combined with shoes that truly caters to people who want to go beyond themselves.

Although TAG Heuer and New Balance have confirmed that the collection will be limited, final production numbers are being kept under wraps with the watches and shoes being sold separately.
